Tattoo Care

Tattoo Care Information

There are a million articles online about how to properly care for a new Tattoo. We have been doing this for many years and we recommend the following Tips to keep your new tattoo looking great for many years!

Proper After Care for Tattoo Healing

– Leave bandage on for at least 3 hours, no more than 24 hours.

– Wash tattoo immediately with fingertips, soap, and water. Do this 3-4 times per day until fully healed.

– For the first 2 nights wash tattoo before bed, pat dry with clean paper towel or air dry. Then cover with a clean new piece of plastic wrap, like saran wrap. In the morning, take off the plastic wrap, and wash it well.

AFTER 48 HOURS you may now apply small amounts of FRAGRANCE-FREE lotion to the tattoo after washing and letting it dry.

– DO NOT use any salves or ointments like A&D, Neosporin, Bacitracin, or even Aquifer. These contain petroleum, which may cause an allergic reaction.

– DO NOT pick scabs!!! Scabs are normal. You may get them, you may not.

– NO direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks!

– NO swimming pool, jacuzzis, lakes, oceans, bathtubs, etc. until healed.

DO NOT take your friends’ advice!!!! They are not professionals, I am.

These guidelines are based on 15 years of experience. PLEASE feel free to CALL if you have any QUESTIONS. Call me first before asking anybody else!!!
